How K-Electric billing works in Dhabeji & Gharo (Thatta)
Dhabeji, Gharo and the Bin Qasim industrial belt sit east of Karachi but inside K-Electric's NEPRA service territory — HESCO has no jurisdiction here. The Dhabeji pumping-station bill is one of KE's largest single accounts (powering Karachi's water supply), and Pakistan Steel, Port Qasim and the Gharo wind-corridor IPPs all interact with KE either as bulk consumers or as injectors. Residential duplicate bills in Dhabeji town and Gharo are simple A-1a format; bulk industrial bills above 1 MW carry an additional NTDC transmission-charge pass-through line that does not appear on Karachi residential bills.
Typical tariff slab in Dhabeji-Gharo: Mixed — A-1a residential (Dhabeji, Gharo town) and B-2/B-3 industrial (Bin Qasim). See the full K-Electric tariff sheet and current per-unit rate.
